The annual feast of oil industry - the 9th China Oil Traders' Conference (COTC-9) had come to a successful close on April 25th 2008 in Chengdu.

With China’s oil market amid tightening economy and high oil prices as the theme, the Conference triggered in-depth discussions and communications on macro-economic development trend, prospect of oil supply and demand, international markets outlook, opportunities and challenges, as well as China’s oil market patterns.

Background

To cap inflation and avoid China’s economy to be over-heated, Chinese government has started to adopt tight monetary policy, which is expected to continue in 2008.
